What a week
What a week it has been. The past few days were very exciting and inspiring. To highlight a few:
Powered by Creatives

The city of Antwerp began the launch of it’s new magazine for creatives with a bang.
In this first powered by creatives meetup, more than 500 creatives showed that Antwerp is one of the leading cities with creative talent. I really enjoyed the event and I’m proud that the city is finally showing investment and interest in the creative industry. It was mostly a networking event, but it’s a great start in promoting it’s talents. I look forward to the next events.

Housewarming
Friends moved into a new house in Ghent. Of course we belgians don’t need a lot more reasons to get together and celebrate this with the proper alcoholic beverages and snacks.
Coffeelabs

This great new initiative by Idealabs, opened it’s doors on friday. I really enjoyed the vibe, the people and the food. Make sure to visit this vibrant place that will bring entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives and caffeine heads closer together.

TedxFlanders

This was my first Tedx and I must say that I overall enjoyed the experience.
I saw some really good talks, but also (in my honest opinion) some really bad ones. The day started early and registration went easy. After that everyone was divided in colors. Each color was a different path. I was on the active path (should have seen that one coming), we’re we could make letters using light. Great idea for my next party.
The first talks and performances were great, but nothing mind blowing.
During lunch we were seated at tables of 10 people, bowls of soup and bread. It all felt very “last supper” like, when we divided the soup and broke the bread. Met some great people, one of witch who was training for a ultra marathon (70 km) and an improv theater enthusiast.
The best talks were left for last, with Stijn Meuris his most amusing talk about life on Mars and the extraordinary story of Colin Angus. The first person to circumnavigate the globe by human power.
Overall thoughts, great location, very well organized and fun experience. http://tedxflanders.be/
What a week it has been, bring on the next one!
